Welcome

My name is Lisa Wagenhurst (AKA Craftye Ladye of Craftye Ladye Creations). This is my new blog for my newest creative obsession. I have become enamored of paper art as well as miniatures, I can hardly believe it myself. My newest ventures are collage, altered arts, paper theaters, paper art dolls, ATCs and anything else that has to do with altering and paper. I hope you enjoy your stay with me and thanks for coming along on this journey.

Ok, Here are some paper dolls I did for some swaps on other yahoogroups. The top one is a Civil War Era Doll. The two below are my take on Raggedy Ann and Andy.

A few fabric ATCs

My first attempt at fabric ATCs, I think I will stick with paper for now, LOL. It looks like I can only upload one picture right now. Hopefully I can get more later.

A special thank you

My sweetheart had emergency surgery in January and had to have a nurse do home visits 3 days a week for the past 4 months. As a thank you I made her this special card. I used a gothic gatefold arch template and used a cute little image of a little girl dressed as a nurse examining her dolly on the inside. Then I added a quote about nurses and how they work from their hearts. I left room for my sweetheart to sign one side and one side for me to sign. I wasn't there when he gave it to her, but he told me that she cried and said that a handmade card was better than anything else we could have thanked her with.

She is clearly in the right profession and helped us through a difficult time.

Another swap Domino necklace and ATC

I was in another swap on fantastic flat paper dolls we had to do a Domino necklace. I was late sending mine out to my partner, so I made an ATC for her and sent it along as well. I hope she likes them. The pictures do not do justice to them at all.

Witches Hat Altered Album

My best sister-friend and I created these witches hat albums and decorated them with all Halloween ephemera, stickers and images. It was a lot of fun. I am a Halloween freak.

Special Oversize ATC

I created this for my friend's birthday.

My first Domino book

This was made for a swap on Fantatic Flat Paper Dolls yahoo group. It was my first attempt. I used wooden dominoes, but have ordered some others that just have not arrived yet.

New ATC pics

So apparently I was making my ATCs a little too big instead of 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 they were closer to 3 x 4. So while these are not regulation size, they are still some of my first attempts at ATCs. I hope you all like them. I have now created the correct size template for cutting my ATCs and have ordered some sleeves and will be making the correct size from mow on. Oh well, I am just a beginner to this.

Mini paperbag purse Halloween Album

I made this during the fall of 2011. I love Halloween and made an album with pictures of me and my sister celebrating halloween, me and my daughter celebrating Halloween and me and my grandson celebrating Halloween. Three generations of Halloween fun. I made this album before I knew what kind of glue to use, but now I use Yes paste and am looking forward to making more of these.

Paper dolls

This is one of my first paper dolls made for a swap on fantastic flat paper dolls yahoo group. She is a puzzle doll.

Monday, May 21, 2012

I will be posting more pictures soon. Right now I am experimenting with all kinds of ATCs and I have joined new yahoo groups and lost os swaps so I am creating a lot. I do have some ideas for a couple of ATC cottages. That will be lots of fun. I am looking forward to a long weekend to create.

Altered Starbucks Gift Box- Le Cirque

So, we got some coffee from Starbucks for Christmas as a gift. I coveted the box and altered it into a vintage circus themed dancing clown box. My inspiration came from the Clown music boxes that I had as a child, an example of these is here: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDetail.asp?ahid=3280&aid=43720&lid=11384255 This is my interpretation:

Brand new art

I recently became enthralled with paper art, altered art and mixed media art. I am exploring and learning to create outside the so-called 'normal' box. I have had to let go of my perfectionist attitude and let the creativity flow from me. I'm not going to lie, that has been a huge challenge for me. As I continue to explore these art forms, I will post more pictures. These are my first ATCs This first ATC is larger than the regulation or standard size, but I had a piece of heavy cardborad this size and wanted to see how it would turn out.
The second and third ATC are the regulation size
